Dave Barry started the ball rolling (or the plank walkin') when he mentioned John Baur and Mark Summers's idea of "Talk Like a Pirate Day".  From there, it was mentioned on the Keenspace Chat List, and then momentum start to build like bilge water in a pirate ship!

We raised the skull and crossbones, and declared that we, the pirates of pop-culture, the Keenspace Cartoonists, would participate in making "Talk Like a Pirate Day" an international event.  

How you can help: Spread the word, talk the talk and walk the plank.  Say Aaar!! with pride!  Swash a buckle!  Divide everything into pieces of eight!
